Dr George Mayson is one of the leading Cosmetic Surgeons in Australia, always at the forefront of new technologies in Cosmetic Surgery. An Honours Graduate in Medicine from Sydney University, he subsequently underwent training in Cosmetic Surgery both in Australia and the United States. In 1998, he was the first doctor in Australia to qualify as a Diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery, achieving one of the highest examination scores ever recorded.

To keep abreast of the very latest developments, Dr Mayson attends conferences and visits colleagues worldwide in order to assess new cosmetic procedures. More importantly, however, Dr Mayson will only ever recommend those procedures he deems to be safe, effective and worthwhile for his patients.
A leader in his field, Dr Mayson in 1993 was the first doctor in NSW to acquire the revolutionary Q-switched YAG laser for the safe removal of tattoos without scarring. The following year, he was among the first doctors in Australia to commence Laser Skin Resurfacing for the removal of facial wrinkles and acne scarring; and again in 1994, he was the first doctor to introduce the cosmetic use of Botox into Australia.
For these reasons, his work has featured regularly on TV and in major magazines and newspapers. In 2004, he was invited to perform a Breast Augmentation on Channel 7′s makeover program ‘The Body Specialists’. He has been interviewed on interstate radio stations and has conducted Cosmetic Surgery talk-back sessions on 2UE, 2GB and ABC. His work has also featured on top-rating television programs such as ‘Today Tonight’, ‘A Current Affair’, ‘Good Medicine’ and for years Dr Mayson was the regular guest Cosmetic Surgeon on Channel Nine’s ‘Midday Show’ with Kerri-Anne Kennerley. In 2006, when Procter & Gamble were looking for a Cosmetic or Plastic Surgeon with an impeccable reputation to endorse their latest skin care products, they chose Dr Mayson.
